RunTime Error Cura 2 2.6.38 & Function Requests
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Hello,

Running this on a Taz 6 with a Titan Aero head

I got a RunTime Error on importing an 87mb file. Down resed to 3.5mb worked fine.

In the Manual Control Panel, If you could retain Move Lenght and Extrusion amount.

A separate tab for Extruder temp and bed temp would help.

Also to have an override for print speed would be nice

The issue that I was having with stalling has gone away with updating to 2.6.38

Thanks,
Dave

@sierradays ,

I got a RunTime Error on importing an 87mb file. Down resed to 3.5mb worked fine.

Cura has problems with large stl files, because it runs OOM. Please See: T859. In general the more memory is available on your computer, the larger files Cura can handle.

In the Manual Control Panel, If you could retain Move Lenght and Extrusion amount.

Since 2.6.38 there were changes to USB manual control done, so please check them out. See for example T1255, T1307 and links to tickets there

A separate tab for Extruder temp and bed temp would help.

Again, this was added (not on different tabs though). We have only one ticket open for things like these so far: T1323

Also to have an override for print speed would be nice

You can control overal printspeed on Marlin I think. Also You can switch to Custom print settings and set "Print Speed", "Print Acceleration" and "Print Jerk" to the values you like.

Thank you for your feedback on beta version!
