Jeff noticed on a couple of @anolen s printers that the print was finished but the display showed it was at 0% and "printing"

west mentioned this in T3529: LCD not updating.

@karrad is this something to do with running octoprint or should the LCDs still update as normal?

Octoprint would need to send M73 commands in order for the progress bar to update, or these would need to be stored in the GCODE. I know for a fact Cura engine does not insert those into the GCODE it produces.

@west What printer/tool head combo? There should be a print complete message sent once finished to wipe out that "printing" message.

As for the progress bar, that is currently handled through USB output device in Cura, and would not be sent when using octoprint.

@karrad mini 2 dingy and banded. the printers are still on if you want to look

@west We were missing the print complete message in all hibiscus end gcode. Fixed in C.27

Thought I would also mention, while my Banded and Dingys read "printing" @ 0% after a print, my Achemon is reading "Cooling please w" @ 0% after a print.

@anolen The cooling please wait and printing should be fixed in C.27, we have updated the final message

@karrad is this fully addressed? Can we close this out?

@adam The printing message has been fixed, however the % update will need to be an octoprint fix. The progress is shown in octoprint, but is not communicated back the GLCD. Octoprint is designed for remote monitoring, and has not prioritized updating the GLCD locally.

@karrad: The other option would be for Cura to write the M75 commands into the sliced GCODE. Currently the M75 are only generated by the USB plugin, but if Cura saved those to the GCODE, then it would work with Octoprint as well.

@marcio Indeed, at the moment we are a little thin on development resources and all Cura devs have higher priorities. ATM Octoprint should be outputting status updates via the gui, and do not have this slated as a high priority.

Does this mean we can close as our side is fixed and it's reported as a known issue in Octoprint?

@adam At minimum, this needs to be updated and gotten to the proper work board. This is not specific to banded

Has anyone else noticed this recently? I haven't been running minis.
