Fitting heatsink in frame requires hammer
Closed, ResolvedPublic

The heatsink is a very tight fit in the frame. Varies a bit but is pretty tight.

@logan Eric may be able to adjust the slice to compensate for this. The fit needs to be tight though so they dont end up moving around and shorting anything out, but if it is requiring a hammer that is too tight

Also something to note, the heatsinks are slightly tapered, is it possible the more wide side is getting put in first?

this is possible fixed in T4806

I had tried it a couple different ways, always got stuck and required some tapping with a rubber mallet.
We can wait for the new heatsink frames and see how they do. Could it be affected by T4756 also? or is that only the one dimension?

The new heatsink mount seems to work well, ready for review
