Use same screwdriver for the five screws that need to removed to swap toolhead
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Currently you need two different drivers to change the TAZ 7 toolhead:

  • One size driver to unscrew the two screws on the cap
  • Another size driver to unscrew the three screws that mount the toolhead

The user experience would be much improved if one driver could be used for both tasks.

Quiver 7:

Just had the flat head screws strip out on me, cannot fit a grab-it into the cavity to remove the screw easily. Second the demand for socket head screw caps.

I agree. I replaced the flat head screws on the top because of the fear of them stripping out in the future. I believe the M3 socket head screws would be a more reliable alternative for removing and replacing the tool head cap.

@west @tutley I agree, using one tool to take off the tool head would be a better customer experience. Can we look at this one?

I propose that we use M3x8 SHCS for the hinge cap, since there are only 2 used on the machine, and if T4956 gets approved, also a M3x8 SHCS for the tube clamp section of the part
