there is a gap between the x bump stop and the x motor and it varies from printer to printer
@logan this may correct the issue we have seen where some machines skip a few steps on the right when auto leveling
@tutley I noticed the snug fit when building mine. Looking at it I don't see a visible gap and pushing it to the left firmly doesn't appear to move at all. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong spot?
So there is a small gap there but I am unable to close it as the bump stop in my case is interfering with the x motor mount at the x bump stops rear chamfer.
This ticket is changing the bump stop so it will sit flat against the x motor
Sorry I meant to say that it interferes with the flange on the rear that the x motor chain mount secures to, not the x motor mount flange.
@west still getting a skip with the new bump stop
@logan are there less skips than before?
@west Yes, it is less but still audibly present
FWIW this bump stop is likely even a tad shorter than designed due to over squish, the end has a good elephants foot going on.
@logan @MikeR any updates on if this one is good to go or not?
@DaniAO This new part sits on there better, no issue from me.
@DaniAO I think it it still a tad tight to get on but overall it seems better.
@west @logan @MikeR How many machines is this part on total?
I know that at least quiver 6, 7, and 11 have the new x-bump stop.
I have it recorded on 18,3,6, and 7
okay.. so a few machines. Do we feel like this is good to go, or would we like more testing?
This is now merged into master. If we see the issue again in Beta we can reopen.
