Pulling out feed tubes
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

I have found it is extremely difficult to pull out the feed tubes from the tool head. If a customer or some internally needed to pull out the feed tubes from the tool head it could be easy to break something on the printer or injure yourself. It is likely we will need to pull out feed tubes in case of a clog or other repair. If there is a certain trick to it please let me know. I tried pushing on the blue tab but that did not seem to help at all.

Logan showed me the correct way to remove the feed tubes which is a lot easier so I will close this ticket due to operator error.

fyi, the easiest way to do this is to push down on both sides of the blue part of the festo connector, as opposed to just one.

We had a quiver feed tube get jammed, and unable to remove it while pressing down on the blue release. While pulling on it, it became broken off the tool head:

@karrad if the tube gets pushed too far into the connector, it becomes very difficult to remove. Please instruct everyone, when replacing the tube to push the tube into the connector until you feel the connector "click"

An alternate solution to the tube connecotr is being looked into in T4956
