Bed not triggering bump stop
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

On quiver 9 the one I have on my desk, the y-axis is not able to consistently trigger the bump stop. Much like on mini 2 it will just ram into the bump stop till it senses enough resistance then it will stop.

In your cura console run M914 and post the values

Also what is the drag value on the Y

@west the drag value was like 17N. I had set the printer aside since it was not working so I don't have to run the M914.

Mine (quiver 1) is doing this too, at the start of a print.

Be sure to check the surrounding area, the y cable chain could be preventing the full motion of the Y axis

My Quiver 4 does this as well, it will home but hits the Y axis more then it should.

@lansky can you please confirm that the Y-axis cable chain is not running into something when the Y-axis moves back?

@Steven Does not seem to be obstructed by anything, it just makes a little "brrrppt" when hitting the front of the Y axis during the home movement.

Try M500 and M502 just in case any residual code was causing the irregular homing

Has anyone seen this with the latest FW versions?

@MikeR @TyTh (Since lansky isn't around any more) have there been any more issues with the bed not trigger the end stop.

If we haven't hear any other complaints, please close this ticket.

@DaniAO I have had random instances of this. Might happen once or twice on a machine then it will go away.

QB7 was doing this intermittently at first, but has since gone away. Can't recall it happening lately.
