@tutley can you wire up your toolhead and verify these changes

@west these changes look pretty good! this is installed on my machine if you want to take a look. I think both 5v heatsink fans may be a tad too long (5 or so mm) and the zero sense cables may be a bit too short (could add 5mm).

@EricNugent @MikeR can you update your toolheads to the cable length in this branch?

MikeR added a comment.Jan 15 2019, 8:53 AM

@tutley did the heatsink fan (AS-CB0094) need to be updated as well?

MikeR added a comment.Jan 15 2019, 8:57 AM

@tutley do we need to update just the ones that were changed today?

@MikeR im not sure which ones were changed today.

Both the front facing heat sink fans, not the blower fan, were a bit too long

west added a comment.Jan 15 2019, 11:48 AM

@MikeR it looks like the harnesses that need to change are as-cb0092 (blower fan length), el-hr0160 (motor harness) el-hr0161( motor harness) el-hr0165 (braided sleeving length), el-hr0166 (braided sleeving length)

@west also the zero sense wires were a bit short

@MikeR drawings have been updated and pushed

west added a comment.Jan 21 2019, 7:52 AM

@MikeR have you had a chance to install the updated harnesses?

MikeR added a comment.Jan 21 2019, 9:17 AM

@west I have bben able to install them. The E1 motor seems a tad too short, and so does the heat sink fan harness for both E1 and E2. Motor for E2 looks good and so do both grounds. The blower fan wires seem pretty long, not sure if they were meant to be so long but they have a good amount of slack in the channel.

@west the drawings for the cables that needed to be changed : as-cb0092 (blower fan length), el-hr0160 (motor harness) el-hr0161( motor harness) el-hr0165 (braided sleeving length), el-hr0166 (braided sleeving length) , appeared to be incorrectly pinned, both @MikeR and I had to re-pin the connections for the heatsinks and blower. There were a few lengths that felt a bit short that @MikeR pointed out in earlier messages.

@EricNugent As far as I can tell all the harnesses are correct. Be sure to do a fresh pull. Also note that the blower fan is going back to the original orientation

@west one more thing to note, when @EricNugent and myself would change between the E1 and E2, we both noticed the blower shroud being flexed. This may also be because the heater wires are a little too short as well. This was also observed by Dani.

@west, I had done a pull from the branch these cable drawing were updated in before we gave the drawings to production to build.

The mirrored assem heater wires and heatsink fan wires are pinned wrong, which i believe @kent recently changed. Everything else is correct

rTAZQUIVER7f3ee55d0a9f changes the pinout callouts to reflect T5315

@MikeR do you have an idea of what the lengths should be for heatsink fans and E1 motor?

MikeR added a comment.Jan 22 2019, 3:40 PM

@west I think just adding a few mm to the length would work.

west added a comment.Jan 22 2019, 4:08 PM

rTAZQUIVERa7fdde734f09 I have added 20mm to the harnesses listed

west added a comment.Jan 23 2019, 2:38 PM

@MikeR what is a few mm

MikeR added a comment.Jan 23 2019, 3:01 PM

@west the 20mm you added should be enough.
