Z left compression hardware unreachable in complete assembly
Closed, DuplicatePublic

When the unit is assembled, the z left compression hardware is not accessible.
I recommend flipping them so that the screw head is on the right and nyloc on the left, this way they can be reached by removing the X Motor.
I spotted this because the compression isn't set on QB7 and every time the axis hits z max, the whole bearing bore flexes outwards.

The x ends should be set prior to installation. They are accessible by removing the four screws to the chassis. With the screws the other way, you would have to remove the x cable chain mount, then the motor, then loosen the belt. This was original done but was switched to have the screws on the left and nylocs on the right to make it easier to adjust in the sub assembly. T4887 was made becasue it was mentioned to me it might be easier with the screws on the left rather than the right

To whatever drag spec that is decided upon

If they are to be set in sub assembly we need a value or measurement to set them to, to be put in OHAI. Please post here what that drag measurement should be so we can implement that process in the OHAI

can you make a separate ticket for this since this ticket is about the location of the screws?
