Filament Feeder getting caught between toohead mount and top rear cross beam
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Just got the Taz Pro sent to the ICS test lab and attempted some prints. Noticed that the filament feeder to extruder 2 can get caught between the toolhead mount and the rear gantry cross beam whenever the toolhead reaches its top Z axis position.

@west Please advise on a path toward resolving this issue

@tutley is going to cut his feed tubes down by 200mm to reduce the curl.
Will post results

The pic is slightly out of focus, but this seems to be a good length

@tutley Do you have a spool that is closer to the end that you could mount to see how well the new length functions with filament that has a tighter curl to it?

yea i can do that after this print is done

Looks good, I think we should implement this change and see how the situation improves through the different scenarios that may arise.

@Steven @west this is something we would want agree upon before the production tag..

After chopping off 200mm, I've had no issues ever since.

@DaniAO it seems that everyone who has tried hasnt seen the issue of the tube getting caught

@Steven @kent if you are good with this then I will update the BoM's and we can move forward with this.

Yes, I see no issue with this @DaniAO .

Steven cut his down to size, so will update the BoM to 800mm.
