I am trying to get a z-brake replacement sent out to a customer for an RMA and was told that I need to use the part number [AS-EL0003] rather than [KT-EL0073] as we can not use KT part numbers for RMAs.

You can't for LRS, but they will need to package it for an RMA anyway if you are going to ship it to a customer.

@lisa @cmerot @kforrest
I have been told by Kyle and Megan that we should be using AS part numbers. We have also always used KT part numbers before.
I am looping everyone in to get a final answer.

KT or AS?

KT part number have the packing for parts to send out to the customer. If the part is going on a SO for an RMA or LRS that is being repair internally it is the AS- (or other internal that is not KT) as we don't need to waste the packaging in house.

@DaniAO Okay, so as far as TSR is concerned when we make SOs, KT part numbers are okay?

@TyTh when it's being shipped out to the customer yes.
