@adam The only HE tool head we have down here has a really gunky nozzle and one of the old stickers that shows HS. Would it be possible to get a fresh one with all included contents to creative for photos? It will b used for product photos as well as for forthcoming Workhorse Tool Head swap OHAI.

I am working with Tom to get you a brand new, shiny tool head. I should have it in time to bring over for the marketing meeting.

Awesome, thank you!

When we have OSHW cert #, UPC, and front and back label #s, post here and I'll put them in. I have received the tool head and will have a draft ready of front and back labels today.

Tool head went over with Brent.
UPC: 810234031189
OSHWA cert I am waiting on a repo that syncs to devel so I can add the source location

@cathryn When you have a chance, I just need some flavor copy for the front and back labels on this tool head. See the existing tool head box stickers for an idea of the type and length of copy:

I don't think it's compatible with Mini 2 yet. Hardware wise it works, but we've had no testing on marlin 2.0 for Mini 2.

@DRobertson can we also say "equipped for composite materials" instead of "abrasive filament"? @Orias @eBeardslee what do you think? Does abrasive have more recognition than composite?

Orias added a comment.EditedAug 14 2019, 10:47 AM

IMO, abrasive isn't the point, it's the consequence of using such strong materials. I don't believe that industrial users will know right off the bat that PACF for example (nylon is always perceived as a low friction coefficient material) is that abrasive.

Mention strong materials, and that the hardened steel components are what make the tool head strong enough to use them.

... equipped with hardened steel components to enable 3D printing with industrial-strength materials

... equipped with hardened steel components strong enough to stand up to the abrasive nature of strong composite materials

If it will be quickly, it'd be good to have on the label ya?

I don't think it's going to be very quick - unfortunately @karrad is out for a week and he knows more about the plan for this testing.

Sounds good, I've got the adjusted file attached.

Per the discussion in the meeting today, I recommend switching the order on the last sentence so it reads, "Create stronger parts with more accuracy than ever before with hardened-steel components and a 0.5 mm nozzle."

Love this @cathryn. Ideally we always start with the value customers receive before saying what it is. "Carbon fiber" is a hot topic so if we can roll that in even better.

That sounds good to me. I've got the updated file attached. I didn't see any good spots to add in carbon fiber without it sounding clumsy, but if someone else does, post it up here and I'll get it in. Thanks for the help and edits, everyone!

that looks great @DRobertson

In creating the product page for this tool head, I ran some of this verbiage by @Orias, and I have a slight edit: Create strong parts with a presentation-ready finish with hardened steel components and a 0.5 mm tool head.

"More accuracy than ever before" is a bit unclear, what are we comparing it to? It might be better to stick with print aesthetic versus claims of accuracy.

That works for me. Updated labels are attached.

@eBeardslee @Greggb are these labels good to go? If so we will get them ordered.

Thanks!

@eBeardslee @Greggb Can we get final sign off on this? We are awaiting this to place an order.

Sorry for the delay - artwork/copy looks good to me. Consider this approved on my end.

@DRobertson: Double period in the last sentence. It should also probably read

... and a 0.5 mm nozzle.

or
just end at hardened steel components if the above sounds weird.

@DRobertson do you have the front saved somewhere? The back label looks good.

@Orias Good catch, thank you! I've got the front and back stickers attached. If there are no further changes I'll move them to the ready folder as individual files.
