@west this isn't going to change cables again is it?
those first 650 chassis are reworked TAZ 6 metal so the first 650 redgum should be exactly the same as the ones you did. I think (@west can correct me if I'm wrong) that this change is part of the PMM changes
@west per purchasing's request I have change the internal part number of the adapter harness to: [EL-HR0186] Dual V3 Adapter Harness
Can you update the drawing and confirm that it is ready to go to vendors for quote?
OCA BoM updated
@logan is this going under AS-PR0165?
Correct ferrites scheduled to arrive today - will be having pilot build a full 20 cables using the correct ferrite in order to replace all the ones in the MER builds.
the difference here is that the accessory adapter for HS, HS+, and SL is $30 and with the new harness it would be >$75 at a guess.
@west is this going to require a new part number and thus won't be used on both quiver and redgum?

Ah, we are talking about the jumper from the v3 to the existing extruder harness on the redgum. I thought we were referring to changing EL-HR0060: the extension heading from the control box to the extra hot end. @west comment of getting rid of panduit made me think of the extra cable rather than the cable we need to convert from the regum microfit connector to the older molex connectors.
We could do it like that, but it would drastically increase the cost of the adapter. We are selling the current version of that harness for $60 so it's likely it would add $60 to the price of the adapter by including it.
A caution here: we would need to include two harnesses in the dual v3 kit if we change one, potentially leading to confusion. Also, we have >1,000 of these harnesses that we need to use. I sympathize with the desire to clean our firmware, but from a supply side I think we should stick with the same harness we've been using.

added 10mm to the OCA BOM (little more than 3/8" as per above)
@logan which subassembly should this be added to?
Scheduled for 24th, 27th, and 29th
I will need a printer ready to go for this by the end of next week.
It looks like the zero sense wires are part of EL-HR0160 and EL-HR0161. I also think that EL-MS0479 should be EL-MS0480, but I could be reading the drawing wrong. I think that we prefer to not have customers messing with the microfit pins since they are very easy to damage when changing them.
purchasing review for Betas was done 5/13
@sherylb I think it would be good to do another round after the first 5 are built to capture the BOM changes in prep for production. There shouldn't be any major (long lead time) changes, but there have been hardware and wiring component changes that since Monday.
We will probably have to do this to 600+ chassis. @jperry can confirm the final numbers of Weiser Redgum metal. So it is temporary, just on the longer side of temporary.
@logan can we make sure there is a step in the OHAI for grinding off the overspray on the inside of the chassis before we get wires and components in there? This will be needed for the first chassis we are already getting from Weiser since a change to that metal is no longer possible at this point.
Foam seemed to be too thick in packaging. Unfortunately no pictures were taken before shipping to RAPID. @eBeardslee @Hob @samantha since you will be setting up, please remember to take photos before removing the foam and upload them to this ticket so we can start making the necessary modifications.

@kim let's get in that McMaster tape - I know @logan has enough tape from R&D to build the first 5 machines, but it would be good to get in the production-ready tape before we have the production folk build the rest of the betas. We will need to set up with standard UoM in mm since that's our standard cut measurement for length with a purchased UoM for the entire roll. Please post in this ticket the part number so I can get with Mark and Logan in order to add the appropriate length to the BOM.
@hanna we will need to touch base with matterhackers about this. I will see if I can get a contact that can help with this.
@jperry rev A on PP-FP0063 is a masking change for the powder coating. I'm not sure where PMM is on their FAs, but could you get the new drawing over to them in case there is still time to roll that in?
@west if this is how we are going to pass ESD, can you update the drawing for the masking on the chassis? I will need to get with @kim about this tape - the UoM isn't going to work as it's set up and we might need to create a new part number.

If this is going out to customers, marketing will need to give at least the thumbs up. Are there enough measurable points on this to conclude calibration and that the printer is operating as it should? If it's functional enough to complete calibration, then I'm ready to sign off on it.
I think it's nice, but I will leave that to @logan or @DRobertson if it's going into the box to the customer. Will this be used just to calibrate the printer and then thrown away or will this go out to the customer?
@DaniAO there is a lot of crossover, but I will get a ticket up on the redgum board for this.
you can close - this isn't going anywhere
I assume 1x of each of those other parts - updated in OCA
any other as-pr part numbers missing inserts?
T7258 is the retail part
[AS-CB0096] Dual v3 adapter harness
That is just for the wiring adapter - I will make a ticket for the entire retail accessory part
@west we don't make that harness in house. It looks like it's purchased from CCX so it's probable that the ferrite is EL-MS0342 and we sent our stock to CCX for them to build our cables. We have these ferrites on order, but they won't be here until 5/17 and pilot is moving tomorrow.
Will this include a printed part as well? Is this a retail accessory or something we are looking at including with the machine?

Part number is:
[DC-LB0189] TAZ WE Certification Sticker
updated in OCA
Can we get those transferred to MER before Wednesday?
I don't have printers to go out for testing (I hope to send out the first two betas for EMI and UL) so testing has no updates. @DRobertson have you had a chance to get this sticker created?
@logan feel free to chime in, but I understood that when tightened there is plenty of thread engagement, but assemblers would have to take more time since the screws don't grab the t-nuts from the bottom of the channel.
@Steven I had the same question and it's not the end that connects to the knurled bolt, but the end that is connected to the frame that is causing the issue.
@west printed part weights are entered in OCA for these AS-PR numbers. These are based on initial slices so weights are subject to change.

this is unrelated to T7217 correct?
@bowman has set up his inventory report for redgum based on the OCA bom
Concerns for betas are EL-MS0342, HD-MS0554, HD-TB0075, PP-FP0172, and PP-FP0173
PP-FP numbers are metal for chassis and electronics covers: current plan is to use the 5x blank powder coated sets we got in from Epocs and use the TAZ 6 metal for the remainder.
Just received sample middle foam. Will test Monday after getting printer back from EMI
Logo tags ship 5/20 and will go overnight. This is just the 20 first articles. @jperry @sherylb @DRobertson are we comfortable enough with our past history with this supplier to go ahead and place the larger order so we aren't waiting on plaques to start production? FYI: production took 5 weeks last time for larger quantities.
I'm going to go ahead and close this as resolved. We have the tool head differences and the speed of prints is determined by profiles more than any general property of the tool head.
