@karrad I checked the Workhorse Quick Start and it tells the customer to use the change filament option in the LCD.
@karrad I went back a couple of weeks and we are getting an average of 15 Mini 2 and Workhorse filament change issues a week. Customers have responded that they followed the Quick Start guide for removing the piece of filament used in shipping.
@DaniAO That is correct the test filament is removed and replace it with a cold piece.
@marcio I like the option that it will load about 10mm and then reverse. Is it possible for TS to test that?

@DaniAO I did a quick test on two Workhorse one you could see filament coming out of the nozzle and other did not. You had to look at hobbed bolt move to see the extrude and retract process. Maybe they are looking if filaments comes out.
@karrad For extrude it would be 10mm and 13 retract. I am not sure about the speed.

It was mentioned in discourse. I will start a code ticket to have the Quick Start changed since Marketing still controls the quick start guides.
Workhorses here in TS with 126.96.36.199 Marlin they do purge before retracting. For the Workhorse there has been confusion was related to the manual that it does not explain the procedure. When the customer selects "Change Filament" they see it extruding instead of retracting and they think something is wrong. In the Pro manual it does not tell you to purge before extracting. I think it is a Pro issue not a Workhorse one.
