This is resolved with the washer added in step 11 here: https://ohai.lulzbot.com/project/dual-extruder-v3/hot-end-tool-head-assembly/
This should be resolved with the addition of a washer in the idler lever assembly (step 11 here: https://ohai.lulzbot.com/project/dual-extruder-v3/hot-end-tool-head-assembly/)

@kent where is this washer going? on the m3 screw between the idler and the plastic part?
Dec 3 2018
Steps 10 and 11 should be updated here to add a washer, I think this will solve this issue. https://ohai.lulzbot.com/project/dual-extruder-v3/hot-end-tool-head-assembly/

This issue has seen a sharp increase in a small time span so I would like to call attention to it.
Nov 13 2018
We received the parts made to the new drawing today, and I tested them with some of the gears that had holes on the larger side and they work.
Nov 8 2018
@lansky THanks for the follow up, closing this one out.
@karrad At this point I think we can stop tracking these.

@lansky Do you feel we still need to be tracking these, or has the SB addressed the issues? (I am guessing the few we have rad reported were do to material defects.)
With PLA and other materials susceptible to heat creep, an enclosure is not recommended.

RMA12448 had this reported issue.
RMA 12379 had the same issue. The left side (E@) knurled hobb was spinning in the large gear.

@anolen Re-reading this ticket, it looks to be resolved with no print drop issues. Going to close out, please re-open if you think it is necessary

Had this issue on RMA12343 causing a failure to extrude on the right nozzle.

I have had 2 RMA's with this issue. RMA 12258, help desk 178259. I can not remember what the other RMA number was.

Hello, Has there been any recent changes to V3 profiling?
Customer contacted tech support about the thermal issue service bulletin. I confirmed that the thermistor connections were indeed not soldered on. Also noticed a leaky nozzle and created a ticket, T3184.

@karrad Looks good to me.

@lansky With the new gif and strategies for the V3 dual, do you have anything else you would like on this end?

Step 5 has been updated here https://ohai.lulzbot.com/project/dual-extruder-v3/hot-end-tool-head-assembly/ and we have a new slice here 3bca7f459277 these two things are helping reduce NC tags. Closing.

This instance the heatsink fan was working, however the customer reported thermal errors including a runaway.
The photo below you can see where the filament swelled considerably, so much so that it took the shape of the printed part around it.
(Some had commented that those look plier marks, but upon closer inspection its the layers from the extruder body)

@anolen Try a couple larger prints, and see how it is affected.
Apr 23 2018
It recovered in less than 8 seconds, didnt seem to be causing any print issues either.
@anolen How long does it take to recover from the drop? A drop is expected, along with a quick recovery
I have been doing testing with a Taz 6 Aero. After talking with @karrad he explained that Cura's "Initial Fan Speed"+"%" is always active, it cannot be turned off, so when it says "0%" it is only going to remain there until layer 2 when it calculates the percentage appropriate when taking "Regular Fan Speed" and "Regular Fan Speed at Height/Layer" into account. I have brought down the fan to starting the 2nd layer at 5% and I still get a 6 degree temp drop (same as 15%), my toolhead was indeed soldered. Any Thoughts?
I ran a few dual Poly PLA prints and couldn't get a temperature fluctuation with our profiles. Dual V3 Poly PLA Profile is good for now, moving on to the Taz Aero

@kent was the heatsink fan still working?
Apr 17 2018
@david.hall Thank you kindly sir! 😄
Put a V3 Dually (with soldered thermistors) on @anolen desk. this morning. Should be good to use.
Apr 16 2018
@david.hall Can you get Anolen a working v3, or double check the ones she has?
I don't think I have a V3 Dual that has had thermistor work recently, I do have Gladiola's that did.
